Garden House

This home integrates landscape and architecture into a unified experience. A single-story volume stretches along the site’s northern edge with rooms extending into a series of gardens on the south side of the property, which provides a continual connection to nature from each room. The home’s organization and proportions are established by its unique structural system made of sustainably sourced, cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels. This prefabricated technology is proposed for the home’s exterior walls and roof, providing a warm interior finish and minimizing the need for painted drywall. The material palette of the house is contemporary, warm, and sophisticated, emphasizing natural light and connections to exterior spaces.
