Realized as a project for the 2025 O’Miami Poetry Festival, “Lo Que Tengo Son Letras (What I Have Are Letters)” is a variation of the beloved game of dominoes. Using words and phrases instead of numbers, the game is a celebration of the poetic language used by domino players from diasporic communities throughout South Florida. Maple dominoes were laser inscribed based on comments from participants and the project also featured custom plywood domino tables and stools.
